From <strong>Europe<\/strong> to <strong>Asia<\/strong> to <strong>Africa<\/strong>, and especially the United States, tariff barriers have multiplied, affecting industries such as technology, steel, automobiles and agricultural products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This trend has triggered tensions between historical trading partners, put previously signed agreements in jeopardy and forced multinational companies to redesign their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operinter.com\/en\/who-are-we-are\/\">supply chains.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Supply chain effects<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to mitigate the <strong>impact of tariffs<\/strong>, some trade routes have become more complex. In addition, external factors such as the situation in the <strong>Red Sea <\/strong>and transit restrictions in the <strong>Panama Canal<\/strong> continue to influence <strong>maritime trade globally.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A strategic truce<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Amid this climate of tension, the recent US decision to temporarily suspend some tariffs on Chinese goods has been interpreted as an attempt to <strong>de-escalate the trade conflict.<\/strong> The agreement, reached after bilateral negotiations in Geneva, provides for a <strong>90-day<\/strong> pause in the imposition of new tariffs and seeks to create a space for dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although welcomed by the markets, this truce is not definitive.
